Just checking in, I know things are quiet because everyone is fishing! Thats a good thing! If your a Boat angler and you missed this week, it is the best action of the year so far! Loads of fish if you know where to find them, plenty of teen and high 20lb fish and I had a couple that topped 30lbs this week ! Of course its atill all about live bunker as the prime bait! I think after this weeks action , I am going to lay back and relax awhile, I have had enough fish to last a lifetime this week! and the gas is getting out of control.But for sheer fun this is hard to beat ! This morning I had as many fish as I had Bunker.
F18 (Dave) who is also a member here has had a banner week as well, with some real nice Bass! His hands are so tore up, he cant land another one. And of course our Capt. Jim has been quietlty doing a number as well!
it's not easy trying to keep away from every screwball out there who doesn't want to fish, learn, or work for fish. Just watch some one else and then go and horn in on him because he already found them. I should just ride around all day looking for guys catching fish and then set up right new to them. I've never seen so many idiots, shit-heads and assholes in my life on the water. It used to be only on weekends but now its on a daily basis. The last guy who got almost inside my transom didn't like the response he got. One more thing, if you are snagging pogies in the morning, turn the F*#$%^@ motor off. Believe it or not you'll get more in a shorter period of time instead of spooking every fish within five miles. How frigging stupidk can one be.
What I hate worse is the liars, the guys who tell you how good there doing just to get some kind of acolades adding weight to fish and making things out to be something there not, IE,,,,CALLING 13 AND 14LB Fish "High Twenties" its a joke
There are some guys on another board calling 25lb fish "Large" What a joke, If they knew how many rat 25s I caught this week there heads would be spinning but of course, mediocrity does that to people, they justify there in ability to fish anyway they can, there isnt a truely good fisher among most guys on the boards just alot of hot air and a lucky fish now and then...
There heads are so far up there ass's with plugs, they cant see the real picture in front of there face....There blowing each other over the color of the month!
Good lord fellas.... Normally you ought to be smiling when y'all get to fish everyday. :^) I do hope you're just blowing off steam and you're really enjoying yourselves out on the water.
Sounds like you're paying the price of celebrity, Jim. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. You need to be known to sell charters, books, tackle, etc.. but it sounds like you're attracting a crowd where you don't want (on the water), too.
Seeing much of the same in SoCo, Billy. Lotsa 15-30lb fish with the occasional fish in the 30's. Good fun, and I'd like to see a biggie one of these trips!
Oh my aching %$#@ hands... I need a break to heal up for sure, not sure if I can handle lipping another bass... I'm going to get a pair of %$#@ gloves.. This past week has been nothing short of phenomenal, fish till your arms fall off action, nothing huge but plenty of high teens and 20's and the occasional 30 in the mix... This IS what we live for though.. See you out there Billy and Jim, be safe..
nice to see some life out here! Dave, I bought some cheap gloves from bass pro, saves a lot of skin. get some. I usually wear just one I've been getting fish and been mostly alone. You guys know the areas I generally fish. I see other guys but they stay out away from the rocks and catch squat. Bill, Im working on it but 25s are good fish to me. Ive caught more fish in the 20s the last 3 weeks than in years in the surf. Been having a freakin blast.
by the way - dont quit now, July and August are around the corner, wait until them. You'll be missing these fish before you know it.
Of course I am really a happy person :) July and August fuck that???? Time to rest up for the Fall and Save the fuel !

Well, I'm on the beautiful island of Maui and monitoring all the fish talk. I got a call the other night from someone who had never caught a bass and he was nailing 20# fish in Providence on a friend's boat. It then occured to me how easy this has become and how unfortunate it is that our sport, that some of us have worked so hard to protect and to enhance, has become such a joke. The googans and jamokes of the world now catch and kill fish that, 20 years ago, we were trying to get back. I hope the pogeys disappear soon. I want to go bak to eels at night and I want the bass to survive this onslaught of idiots on the Bay right now. Just my thoughts from 6000 miles away.
