Not for nothing, but let's clean up the lanugage and the sexual references. This is supposed to be a fishing site, not a place to swear at will.
Clammer you need to get another hobby besides the one you got with the ladies.
Too much of this will kill book sales once the book comes out and more people start coming to this site.
NO one swears more than me, but not in a public forum for the sake of doing it.
It also dosen't reflect well on me or Billy.
I've spent decades building a good name and reputation. Too anyone's face I'll tell them what I think regardless of whether or not they like it. Anyone who knows me already knows that.
But this is getting over the top and I see no need for it.
Fishing is the primary focus here. Good honest, information. let's try to keep it that way and remember that. None of us knows who reads this.
I also have many sponsors to answer too as well. I know for a fact that they would not be pleased with some of the discussions. That EFFECTS MY BUSINESS and MY CLIENTS,\
So let's be a bit more tame.

Jimmy has a point and maybe we have all took the liberty of being able to swear a bit to far..

Since this is jimmys site, I will keep a close eye on the language and if it gets out of hand, I will delete the post or toss the person off the site..

o.k. then, a fishing question. I have not heard anything this year about bunker spoons. I have done some trolling with umbrella rigs and tube and worm with some success. However I have not used a spoon much. Are they worth using and are there any special tactics or tips I should know? Do I need to use them under pogys and bait,or can I drag one over a fish and expect a strike? Seems to me I might get less blues with a big spoon but don't want to be wasting my time.

Interesting in that I have been posting on the "other" site about my success with bunker spoons.
I have been pulling wire and the big Montauk Bunker spoons in 25 to 30 ' of water with success.
I have been consistently getting mid to high 20# bass.
You need to remember 3 things.

1) For every 10 feet of wire you need to add 1 1/2 feet of additional drop due to the weight of the spoons.
2) Always pull across or with the tide, never against it. If you pull against the tide the spoon will dig deeper and eventually you will hang up
3) You will need to experiment with your speed. Sometimes depending on wind and tide, I pull at 3.5kts. Other times I find 2.5 to 2.8 kts gets me the swing I am looking for. You can tell by the way your rod pulses. A longer soft rod is better than a short stiff one.

Sorry for the late reply. I've been traveling on business for a week and I'm looking forward to the 3 day weekend.
My hit the surf for the first time this year.

No, I have been fishing the Big Bunker Spoons just as they come out of the package. I think that they are so big the bass don't need anything else to entice them to clobber it.
F$#@! Billy.
