The time is here once again and we are now taking reservations for the 2010 fishing season. Our boat will be in the water for May 1st and ready to go. We should see some pretty good schools of fish on the surface chasing sea herring that will be leaving the bay then. The last three or fours years has produced some really good top water action, as the bass are on the surface like bluefish schools eating everything that moves. Later in the month will see the arival of bigger fish, and menhaden that they are following. Hopefully the menhaden numbers this spring will be larger than last season. Right now it looks like fluke season will begin on May st as well and continue throughout the year. This year we have gone down to a 19-1/2 inch fish, with a bag limit of six (6) per man. Spring time is the time to get a really big fish inside the bay as the doormats show up early and leave around the end of June for deeper water. We can combine a fluke trip with a bass fishing trip this year. Go for stripers early, then finish the day fluking for some diner fillets. We provide all the necessary tackle and gear for a day's fishing as well as the bait. We will also have a new Lowrance HD-10 Side Scanning Unit on our boat this season, with 3-D and three way scanning capabiliy. Left, right and down. We will all see things that none of us have ever seen before on the bottom of the bay. Who knows what we will find lying on the bottom this season. It is going to be very interesting for sure. Make your reservations for the spring fishery early, as these dates go the fastest. We will be doing both morning and evening trips, as well as evening trips with live eels in late June and beyond.
