We are getting close to the Shallow Water Striper University event. There is only five weeks remaining and space is getting limited, so if you are planning on attending now is the time to register for this event. 2010 Fishing Season: The spring season is fast approching and will be here in no time. The time to book a trip is now and not later as dates are going quickly this season and space and time is limited. Even doing two trips per day we can't accomodate all the anglers who want to fish during that time period. It looks like we will once again be able to offer a combo bass/fluke trip during the spring. As of this moment, the fluke season will begin on May 1st and run throughout the year. Size limits for this season will be 19-1/2 inch length, and a six fish per man bag limit. You will not need a fishing license, as our boat is covered as well as our clients. We hold ALL the necessary permits and licenses, both Federal and State for all saltwater species. The spring run of fluke is the best time to target really big fish in May and June. The fish during this time can and do go over the 10-pound mark and fish in the teens is not uncommon. For this season we will also have the Lowrance HD-10 Side Scanning unit on board, as well as a new digital Radar system, Sirus Satellite Weather Info to track any storms that may come our way. The HD-10 system has the capability of scanning left and right up to 300-feet, normal down viewing, and four-way split screen for side scanning, down view, 3-D view and map all at the same time. We will likely see things that none of us have ever seen before below the surface of the water. It will make each trip a learning experience for all on board.
